About This Design
Wide bands of deep teal roll against rust and burnished ochre, with olive and pale cream folding in at each crest. Fitzgerald carries the broadest wave in the collection, curves that swell and dip with a confident, theatrical rhythm rather than a tight, repeating pattern. The impasto effect gives each crest real dimension, raised colour that catches light along its edge the way silk catches a room's glow. Seen up close, the layered bands reveal their texture in full, while from across a room the whole surface reads as one sweeping, unbroken motion. This is a pattern with real nerve, unafraid of scale or contrast, built for a room that wants to make an entrance. On fabric, that scale reads as glamour without excess, the confident swing of a piece that knows exactly how good it looks.
The Inspiration
Named for the writer who arrived at Bedford Street trailing exactly the kind of glamour the room was built to keep quiet, all charm and nerve behind an unmarked door. Fitzgerald's own world ran on scale and spectacle, and this design borrows that same theatrical sweep, bands that swell and roll rather than sit still. It carries the confidence of a room that already knows it's the most interesting one in the building, dressed for an evening that never quite ends.
What It Carries
Fitzgerald holds onto a feeling of arrival, the sense of stepping into a room built for a proper entrance. The wide, rolling bands keep the eye moving in long, unhurried sweeps rather than quick, busy detail. It suits a dining room, a bar area, or any space meant to hold a gathering with real presence. Living with Fitzgerald means living with a design that never apologises for taking up space, confident company for a room that likes to be seen.
Design Size Options
This design is available in three layout scales:
Grand: A larger-scale composition that reads with authority across statement furniture and feature walls.
Classic: A balanced, repeated layout with natural structure and rhythm. Works across most applications.
Detailed: A fine-scale repeat where the impasto texture becomes the surface itself. Ideal for scatter cushions, smaller upholstery panels, and layered soft furnishings.
Style tip: Mark out a small section on your planned project surface to see how the Detailed scale reads in your space. That preview will show you exactly how the texture and rhythm land before you commit to a size.
