THE WORK

A herd of Ankole-Watusi cattle charges directly toward the viewer, led by a massive black bull whose horns fill the upper frame in sharp, defined arcs. Long exposure blurs the ground beneath them into streaked motion, while mist and dust rise around the herd's legs, softening the animals further back into pale, ghosted shapes. A single crack of lightning is visible in the sky above, small against the scale of the charging herd itself. Every line in the composition pulls forward, toward the viewer, toward whatever's ahead; nothing in the frame holds still.

THE INSPIRATION

A juggernaut is an unstoppable force, historically a term for something so massive and relentless that nothing in its path survives unaffected. This piece leans fully into that scale, choosing the most direct, head-on composition in the collection to put the viewer squarely in the herd's path. Where Bastion holds still and Passage moves with steady composure, Juggernaut is built entirely around overwhelming, forward momentum, raw power with nothing standing in its way.

WHAT IT CARRIES

This is the collection's most physically intense piece, built to be felt rather than quietly considered. There's real power in the composition, the lead bull's horns, the blur of speed, the mass of the herd behind him, all of it converging on a single point directly ahead. It doesn't ask for a second look to register its impact; it demands the first one. That immediacy is the entire point.

LIVING WITH IT

The dark, storm-heavy palette with strong tonal contrast makes this piece a genuine statement, best suited to a large wall that can hold serious visual weight without competing elements nearby. It works well in boardrooms, offices, and entryways designed to make an immediate impression. In low light, the piece reads almost monochrome and deeply dramatic, while brighter light draws out more texture in the dust and grass beneath the herd.
