Midnight's Palm sets stylized fan palm leaves in deep navy and black against slim, rust-colored stems, each frond made up of individual feathered blades fanning out from a single point. Most of the palms sit in near darkness, ink black and midnight navy dominating the field, while a scattering in teal, pale cream and lime green breaks the density and lets the eye rest. Every blade within a frond carries fine linework running along its length, visible even in the darkest shapes once you look closely. The rust stems repeat like a quiet rhythm underneath, the one warm note against an otherwise cool, shadowed palette. At upholstery scale, the effect reads as moody and considered, the pale and lime palms working almost like light breaking through a canopy that otherwise stays dark.
A palm grove after dark loses its green almost entirely, colour reduced to navy and black with only occasional light breaking through where a gap in the canopy lets something pale show. Midnight's Palm takes that reduced, moody palette and builds a confident, orderly pattern from it, the rust is the one constant warmth running underneath the shadow above.
A room dressed in Midnight's Palm feels moody and considered, suited to a space built around dark wood, brass, or deep upholstery that wants a botanical print without brightness. The scattered pale and lime palms keep the density from feeling too heavy, giving the eye somewhere to land within the darker field. It suits a study, a formal sitting room, or a hospitality space that wants atmosphere over cheer. Live with it in low evening light and the navy and black barely separate from each other, the pale palms doing all the work of breaking the dark.
This design is available in three layout scales:
Grand: A larger-scale composition that reads with authority across statement furniture and feature walls.
Classic: A balanced, repeated layout with natural structure and rhythm. Works across most applications.
Detailed: A fine-scale repeat where the impasto texture becomes the surface itself. Ideal for scatter cushions, smaller upholstery panels, and layered soft furnishings.
Style tip: Use a measuring tape to mark out 50cm on your planned project surface. That window shows you exactly how the Detailed scale brings texture and rhythm into a smaller space.
