The Work

The Inspiration
Night Filter grew out of thinking about the city after dark, not the glamorous version, but the one caught on a low-resolution camera at 3am. The dotted mesh pattern nods to screen static and surveillance grain, technology that watches without judgement. Deep navy and muted teal do most of the work, with red and orange treated as evidence rather than decoration, small proof that something happened here. It sits closer to observational abstraction than pure colour field work, a piece that remembers more than it reveals.

What It Carries
What stays with you is the quiet. Most of the Iron Mesh pieces push colour hard against structure. This one holds back, letting the navy and teal sit low and dense while the orange ember does all the emotional work in one small corner.
