Each design in The Pine Cone Registry collection is available in two styles: a Grand scale for more expressive, impactful spaces, and a Classic version with a smaller repeat for a refined touch. Inspired by a Real Tree, a Real Bird, and a Real Story

This collection isn’t just inspired by nature—it’s rooted in a very real chapter of my own life. There was a tall pine tree that stood in the far corner of my neighbour’s yard. I saw it the very first morning I woke up in my new home. I remember looking at it and thinking, “One day, I’m going to own the land that tree stands on.”

Nine years later, that quiet thought became my reality—I bought the property next door, and with it, that magnificent pine.

For years, the same lone Grey Go-Away bird has returned to that tree to nest. Always alone, never a pair. Its call became a familiar presence, echoing through my days. I’ve heard him for twenty years now, and as if by fate, their lifespan is around twenty years too. That tree and that bird have watched time pass with me. They were there when my life changed forever—at the age of 35, I was paralyzed in an ocean accident while rescuing someone. To me, that tree and bird have quietly watched over me since I was 23. They’ve witnessed every season of my life—my joy, heartbreak, transformation, and ultimately, my resilience.

After all these years, the tree and the bird remain. They’ve grown older, as I have, but they are still constants—unchanged. And every year, that tree continues to bear the same pine cones, a quiet reminder of life’s ability to endure, to create, and to multiply. That simple act of nature—the dropping of pine cones—feels profound. It’s the tree’s legacy, and in many ways, it has become part of mine too.

The designs are a reflection of this emotional connection—some are symmetrical and traditional, while others are abstract and intricate, much like the unpredictable rhythms of nature itself. Rendered mostly in earthy, grounded hues, with occasional bursts of bold and eccentric colour, each pattern evokes pine cones as tokens of resilience, age, and silent growth.
