About This Design

Terres Tissées is built from the colours of worked earth: rust red, warm ochre, aged teal, cream, and forest green, arranged into a patchwork of rectangular panels that sits somewhere between a woven blanket and a fresco wall. White birds occupy the larger panels, standing or resting, while trailing botanical stems carry seed pods and leaves across the boundaries between colour fields, stitching the composition together like thread through a loom. The overall effect is one of something made slowly by hand, a textile that has accumulated meaning over time rather than being designed in a single sitting. At upholstery scale the earthy palette gives warmth to any piece it covers, and the patchwork logic means no two metres feel identical. The design sits with comfort alongside natural materials: raw linen, weathered timber, unglazed ceramic.
