Voltage Bloom, Vermilion and Oxblood, Original Art Canvas Print

The Work

Daisies in vermilion, burnt orange, and oxblood crowd this canvas at extreme close range, their petals rendered with a hyper-saturated, almost electric intensity. Thin trails and flecks of paint scatter across a deep navy ground on the left, while the blooms themselves press in dense and unbroken on the right. The colour here runs hotter and flatter than the impasto range, more voltage than brushstroke, each petal edge sharp and lit from within.

The Inspiration

This piece pushed saturation past where a painted surface would naturally sit, chasing a colour intensity closer to how flowers look in the split second after a flash goes off. The navy ground and scattered paint flecks were kept loose and raw, a deliberate contrast to the tight, hard-edged colour of the blooms themselves.

What It Carries

The unrelenting saturation gives this piece real presence from across a room, a jolt rather than a slow reveal. The contrast between the controlled bloom and the loose, splattered ground keeps it from feeling too polished.
