About This Design

Lime and olive green canopies swell in thick, soft impasto strokes, each crown rounded and heavy like moss on a very old branch. Underneath, twisted teal trunks bend and loop, their branches threading through the foliage in dark, fine lines that show how long these trees have been growing. The ground is a pale, lightly creased off-white, which keeps the green bright and the teal sharp. Trees sit at different heights and angles, so the repeat feels more like a grove found by chance than a pattern laid out in rows. At a distance, the green reads as clouds of new growth.
