Green Meridian is the only piece in the collection where a single colour family controls the entire surface. Deep forest green, olive, jade, and near-black fill the composition in thick impasto columns, vertical structures that recall both trees and architecture. Brass and cream break through in thin vertical lines, not quite light, not quite gaps, but something that functions as both. The darkest tones press heavily at the base and top, and the mid-tones carry the weight of the central mass. Nothing here is decorative. The green is earned.
This work came from forests specifically, the quality of light that barely reaches the floor and the way the visual silence of a dense canopy actually contains an enormous amount of information. The vertical composition mimics the orientation of standing in among trees, looking neither up nor down but straight through. The brass interruptions are the only light that made it.
Green Meridian carries stillness without emptiness. It is the quietest piece in the collection but not the simplest. The monochromatic range requires close attention before the complexity of the surface becomes apparent. People drawn to it tend to be people who understand that green is not one thing.
The deep green and brass palette makes this a natural fit for earthy, organic interiors: natural stone, untreated timber, rattan, linen. Also works powerfully in a dark, moody space where the green deepens further against shadow. A statement piece for a dining room, study, or bedroom. The narrow, vertical sub-compositions within the wide format make it equally strong in portrait or landscape framing.
For the collector who finds their way to calm through complexity rather than simplicity.
