Full Spectrum Fracture is the most chromatically loaded piece in the collection. Red, orange, yellow, purple, blue, and white all compete across the surface, the impasto applied in broad, energetic strokes that sweep in multiple directions. There is no single dominant colour: the palette fights itself and, in doing so, creates a kind of charged equilibrium. White interruptions break through at irregular intervals. The lower third deepens into navy and cobalt, giving the composition an anchor it does not strictly need but that prevents the whole from becoming noise.
This work came from the experience of overwhelm. Not negative overwhelm, the specific state of being in a moment so full that colour is the only language that comes close. It required resisting the temptation to edit. Every colour that arrived on the surface was left there. The fracturing happens not through division but through accumulation.
Full Spectrum Fracture holds the emotional charge of moments that are too large to hold quietly. It is the painting for a room where something has just happened, or is about to. It does not calm spaces down. It acknowledges that some spaces should not be calm.
This piece needs room and a relatively neutral backdrop. White or off-white walls let the full chromatic range operate at full capacity. Works in large living rooms, gallery-style spaces, hotel lobbies, and any room where the art is the statement rather than the complement. The wide horizontal format is essential to the composition's impact.
For the collector or designer who knows that restraint is a choice, not a requirement.
