About This Design

La Rueda is the collection's most generous design. Large, open circles in warm ochre, deep teal, dusty rose, burnt orange, slate blue, and cream overlap and touch across a white ground in a composition that feels celebratory without being crowded. Each circle is rendered with a thick impasto surface, the colour applied in broad, visible strokes that give each form a dimensional quality. The circles do not sit inside squares or align to a grid. They move freely, which gives La Rueda a spontaneous, open quality that the more structured designs in the collection do not share. At fabric scale, this openness translates beautifully to curtains and large upholstered surfaces, where the circular forms have room to read fully.
