The Work

A single massive amber circle dominates the composition, its surface rough and layered, illuminated from within by gradations of gold and warm cream. It sits against a broad, stormy field of teal and near-black, a background alive with diagonal marks, splattered orange, and fragments of white that move like sparks across the dark. Red drips and thin gestural lines cut through the composition vertically, connecting the circle to the ground below. The scale of the central form is not accidental. It fills the frame the way an unavoidable truth fills a room.

The Inspiration

A reckoning is not a punishment. It is a confrontation with something real. This piece was built from the visual weight of that moment, the one where you stop looking away. The teal is not cold.
