About This Design

Columnas arranges rounded rectangles in tight vertical columns separated by bold navy lines that run the full length of the surface. Orange, olive green, crimson, warm teal, yellow, and cream fill the blocks in a sequence that shifts from column to column, so the design reads as both ordered and dynamic. The impasto surface treatment gives each block a swirling internal texture, and the navy vertical lines act as a structural grid that gives the whole composition an architectural quality. At fabric scale, the vertical emphasis and the strong palette make Columnas particularly effective on curtains, where the columns extend naturally from ceiling to floor and the navy verticals do what good curtain design always should: they make the window look intentional.
