About This Design

Mercado scatters rounded rectangles across a white ground with enough space between them to let the eye move freely through the composition. Warm orange, deep teal, olive green, magenta, navy, and warm yellow fill the blocks in a palette that is bright and full without being dense. The impasto rendering gives each block a visible surface texture, and the open spacing of the white ground gives the design an airy, accessible quality that the denser block designs in the collection do not share. At fabric scale, Mercado is the easiest design in the block family to live with on a daily basis.
