About This Design

Las Margaritas fills the surface with full daisy forms rendered in multi-petal impasto-style strokes that radiate from a tight central cluster. Deep navy grades into rich teal across the lower bloom, warm amber and burnt orange fill the upper petal sets, and deep crimson and magenta appear in the secondary forms scattered across the white ground. The graduation of colour within each flower, from dark at the centre outward to lighter tones at the petal tips, gives every bloom a dimensional quality that reads as genuinely tonal rather than flat pattern. The petals themselves are long and tapered, fanning outward with a rhythm that suggests movement even when the fabric is still.
