About This Design
Navy rises in rounded, softer peaks here, less sharp than Tidal's dragged edge, more like colour that drifted into place rather than pushed. Small rust-toned specks scatter across the cream ground, catching the eye in the gaps between each navy rise. Edges blur and soften here so each tone melts into its neighbour, navy fading toward a light blue before giving way to cream again, the overall rhythm gentler, more settled than the collection's more graphic pieces. Up close, the texture reads as quiet movement, each peak slightly rounded rather than sharply defined. From across a room, the pattern falls into a steady, calm repeat, navy against warm neutral, speckled throughout with small moments of rust. Within Ridgeline, Drift sits as the collection's most settled design, navy with none of the urgency of sharper patterns nearby.
The Inspiration
Drift began with the idea of colour that had stopped moving, navy settling into its final position after a slower journey than the collection's more graphic pieces. The rounded peaks and softened edges carry a faint haze along the border of every shape, the sense of colour that bled gently rather than forcefully, drifting toward its final form instead of being pushed there. The scattered rust specks read as residue, the last trace of movement left behind once the colour came to rest.
What It Carries
This fabric carries a quiet, settled calm that suits spaces built for rest rather than statement. The navy holds enough presence to anchor a room without demanding attention, and the speckled texture keeps the surface from ever reading as flat. It suits any project that wants depth without visual noise. The rounded, gentler rhythm means it sits comfortably alongside sharper patterns elsewhere in a project, without competing for the same attention.
Design Size Options
This design is available in two layout scales:
Classic: A balanced, repeated layout with natural structure and rhythm. Works across most applications.
Detailed: A fine-scale repeat where the colour bleed becomes the surface itself. Suits any project where the pattern is seen up close.
Style tip: Mark out a small section on your planned project surface to see how the Detailed scale reads in your space. That preview will show you exactly how the texture and rhythm land before you commit to a size.
