About This Design

Navy and chocolate brown rise in tight, woven peaks against a textured cream ground, the density here greater than almost anywhere else in the collection. Rows of small rust-toned dots run in bands between the peaks, adding a second rhythm that sits apart from the chevron itself. Edges blur and soften so each tone melts into its neighbour, navy and brown trading closely without a clean line dividing them. Up close, the woven texture and dotted bands dominate, giving the surface a layered, almost embroidered complexity. From across a room, the pattern reads as the busiest and most detailed in the collection, dense enough to reward long looking. The Inspiration

Thicket began with the idea of density, how many elements a single design could hold before it became overwhelming rather than rich. The dotted bands were added as a second layer of rhythm, deliberately at odds with the chevron's own vertical climb, so the eye has two different patterns to track at once. A dragged, softly blurred edge on every stripe and shape keeps the navy and brown from separating into flat, distinct bands. It reads as complexity held just on the right side of order.
