About This Design
Pale blue and warm grey barely hold their shape here, the softest and quietest design in the collection, closer to a memory of a pattern than a pattern itself. The navy and teal of Tidal and Drift have faded almost entirely, leaving behind a textured, woven-looking surface where colour shows more as suggestion than statement. Faint sandy specks sit scattered across the ground, visible only on a closer look. Up close, the fabric reads almost as plain texture, a faint haze along the border of every shape the only trace of movement left. From across a room, the pattern all but disappears, settling into something closer to a tonal, textured neutral than a visible repeat. Within Ridgeline, Static is the collection's quietest design, the one built to recede rather than announce itself.
The Inspiration
Static began as a question of how far a pattern could fade before it stopped being a pattern at all. Where the rest of Ridgeline holds onto colour with real conviction, this design pushes toward the opposite edge, pale blue and warm grey pulled back until they barely register as more than texture. Edges that blur and soften so each tone melts into its neighbour take over entirely here, colour and ground almost indistinguishable. It carries the specific quality of something nearly erased, a signal almost lost to static, present only if you know to look for it.
What It Carries
This fabric holds a quiet, textural presence that works almost like a neutral with memory. It suits any project that needs to sit back rather than compete, something that wants texture without visual weight. The faded quality means it ages into a space gently, never demanding the kind of attention a bolder print would require, and it pairs easily with almost anything else in a room.
Design Size Options
This design is available in two layout scales:
Classic: A balanced, repeated layout with natural structure and rhythm. Works across most applications.
Detailed: A fine-scale repeat where the colour bleed becomes the surface itself. Suits any project where the pattern is seen up close.
Style tip: Mark out a small section on your planned project surface to see how the Detailed scale reads in your space. That preview will show you exactly how the texture and rhythm land before you commit to a size.
