About This Design

Rueda Libre shares the scattered circle-and-square vocabulary of Plaza Mayor but operates in a deeper, more contrasted palette. Circles in primary red, forest green, cobalt, and warm ochre sit inside and beside squares in darker, more saturated tones, all against a white ground streaked with gestural marks that give the surface energy even in the negative space. The composition feels looser and more spontaneous than its neighbours in the collection, with forms that overlap and collide rather than maintain their distance. At fabric scale, this restless quality is precisely what makes it work on upholstery. A chair upholstered in Rueda Libre looks like it was chosen by someone with a very clear point of view.

The Inspiration

The Fiesta de Colores collection draws its soul from the warmth and vibrance of traditional Mexican celebrations. Rueda Libre, meaning "free wheel," carries the spirit of folkloric dance: structured in its form but completely free in its movement.
